Personal Branding Business Cards

4 x 4 business card on watercolor paper. Printed on printing press.

When one thinks of a business card, the first image that comes to mind (at least for me) are the white boring 3.5 x 2 rectangles with a stock photo plastered on the front. I wanted to create a personal self branding business card that not only was unique in looks, but that displayed some of my personality within it.

Some of the ways I incorporated who I am into my business cards was through color, language and type choice. Instead of using thin flimsy paper, I went for a thicker and weightier kind -- watercolor paper. This not only printed incredibly well, but it also gave me a fun way to incorporate color into my design through watercolor. This not only expresses my artistic creative side, but also my optimistic perspective as a designer.

Words mean a lot to me, so the way that I describe myself to others and the way that it looks are extremely important. I used the typefaces Didot and Drugs (not the illegal kind) to express more of who I am to future viewers.
